This garden was formerly artificial grass/paving & basically had no soil. So we decided to build up, forming two asymmetric planters & imported over three tonnes of compost to fill them. Privacy was an issue which we addressed with fencing & a taller gate. We added archways for height, interest & as a framework for climbing plants, constructed a nice cabin to the rear & finished with a bright, contemporary porcelain paving throughout.

A modern, split level garden. Lower snug area with contemporary railway sleeper & gabion seating. Upper dining area defined by an L-shaped planter & finished in a crisp, modern porcelain paving. Fencing replaced on all three boundaries, carefully planned to frame the views, while maintaining privacy.

Lawn levelled & re-turfed. Steps constructed in grey composite decking to complement the kitchen flooring when the bi-fold doors are open. Patio area created along the side of the property. Pergola constructed to improve privacy & define a pleasant dining area.
